I was initially taken aback by the stark blackness at the beginning, but after a couple of days I managed to fine-tune the settings and get the colors working as they should be. The brightness and contrast had been off, so it took me two days of experimentation to get it just right. Since then, everything looks perfect - my settings apply to whatever device is being used, so no need for adjustments. Watching older movies has been a revelation; they look almost like new.

The TV's picture quality is impressive for its price, with vivid colors and clear definition that's perfect for watching your favorite shows or movies.

The screen itself feels solid, with a sturdy build and decent durability that I've had no issues with so far.

However, when you look closely at the display, you'll notice a tiny black mark on one of the edges - it's barely noticeable to me, but if you're sensitive about imperfections I'd say this is a deal-breaker.

While the TV is definitely worth its price tag for most viewers, I'm not in the market for high-end electronics right now.

I've not bought a TV for almost 5 years now and still, my mind keeps wandering back to that massive 85" monster I purchased last year. The price tag was steep - £779, for one of Onkyo's built-in sound systems on this behemoth of a screen - but the reality is you get what you pay for: it's an amazing quality TV.

I've not bought a new TV in years, and others might have higher expectations, so I took a chance with TCL. But after reading 8000 reviews, I couldn't help myself - it was just too good to pass up. Setting it up alongside my AV receiver with decent sound equipment made the experience even more enjoyable.

The picture quality is truly stunning, and I'm not surprised that in large screen sizes like this, you might have been expecting some compromises on picture quality. But the Onkyo 2.1 system holds up beautifully, and now our family of four can enjoy our favorite films together. We've all grown to love watching movies on this TV, and it's clear why I'm so glad I made that purchase - it's an absolute winner in my book.
